NCL is a specialist investment manager and advisory boutique that acts as a commercialisation engine for disruptive technology SMEs. NCL started in 2010 as Narec Capital, a joint venture with the UK’s National Renewable Energy Centre. Its primary purpose was to commercialise the IP that came through the centre of excellence, on behalf of UK Plc. NCL exploits the commercialisation stage funding gap by identifying truly high potential technologies and providing them with both the resource and institutional investment capital required to turn them into high performing SMEs. They are true venture managers with an inherent technology backbone. Guided by a highly experienced investment committee and leading scientific advisory board, NCL have deployed over $55M into the health sector, as a lead investor, over the last 3 years.
